Afternoon Tea treat raises cash for Roundabout

According to the UK Tea and Infusions Association, tea has been Britain’s most popular beverage since the 18th century. Now, an entire week is being dedicated to the wonderful British tradition that is Afternoon Tea.

From August 8-14th, a number of cafes and tea rooms across the UK will be celebrating Afternoon Tea Week, including Jameson’s.

Jameson’s Tea Rooms, of Abbeydale Road in Sheffield, are going to be celebrating the event by offering a unique afternoon tea, with a percentage of all profits going to Roundabout.

“We’re really pleased to be celebrating Afternoon Tea Week this year alongside Roundabout. As a local business we understand the importance of supporting a local charity.” explains Jameson’s Natalie Evans.

“We’re delighted that Jameson’s are going to be working with us for the duration of Afternoon Tea Week in August,” says Ruth Gage, Roundabout’s Fundraising and Communications Manager.

“Roundabout helps around 150 young people in Sheffield every day. Not only will this event help raise vital funds, but it will really help increase awareness of our charity and what we do.”
