DBL Logisitics, a leading Sheffield logistics firm, is a long term supporter of our charity. They have just become the first business to sign up to take part in our annual Sleep Out!
David Clarkson, the company’s Managing Director, has just signed up to take part in our upcoming Sleep Out – and not for the first time!
A number of DBL’s team, including sales director Earl Robinson as well as MD David, have raised thousands of pounds for us over several years by taking part in our Sleep Outs and raising vital sponsorship.
This year the Sleep Out is taking place at a new venue – 92 Burton Rd, home of the famous Peddler Night Market! This year’s event will feature games, food and entertainment, before the real challenge begins at midnight as participants begin a night of sleeping rough on a cold warehouse floor.
David said: “We’re proud to support Roundabout and are really looking forward to this year’s Sleep Out event.
“We’re very pleased to have supported the charity for a number of years, raising thousands of pounds for a fantastic cause, so we were only too happy to sign up to join in again.
“Without the exemplary work of charities such as Roundabout, homelessness in Sheffield would be a far greater problem, so we always want to do our bit to support a fantastic local charity.”
Caitlin Hodgkinson, Fundraising and Communications Co-ordinator at Roundabout, said: “We’re extremely pleased to again have the support of David and the team at DBL for our annual Sleep Out – we were thrilled when they became the first business to sign up for this year’s event.
“Support such as that from businesses like DBL Logistics goes a long way to helping us as a charity – we’re extremely grateful.
“While an event like this can’t possibly replicate the conditions faced by those who are lonely, frightened and homeless, it will go some way to raise awareness and much-needed funds for us to continue to help those who sleep rough every night.”
