Volunteering Opportunities

Are you looking to gain some experience of working for a charity, or have spare time to help those in need? If so, why not look at our latest volunteering roles?

We are currently recruiting volunteers to work in our charity shop, in Sheffield city centre. Situated on Union Street in the same building as our Homeless Prevention Service, the shop helps to raise vital funds to support young people who are homeless or at risk from becoming homeless. The shop opened in June 2015 and is a small, independent charity shop so you would have a real opportunity to help shape its development. Having retail experience would be preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. If you can spare a few hours a week, we would love to hear from you! There is more information about the role and how to apply here.

We are also looking for a Volunteer Collection Tin Coordinator, to help organise the distribution and return of all our collection tins and buckets. We are ideally looking for someone who can commit around seven hours a week, you would also be helping the charity further by researching and developing new fundraising opportunities. This role would be ideal for someone who wants to gain experience in fundraising and learn more about how a charity operates. Find out more about this vacancy here.

If you are unable to commit to volunteering regularly but would still like to help us, we are always looking for volunteers to help at our own fundraising events, such as the Yorkshire Half Marathon, Sleep Out and bucket collections. If you are interested in any of our volunteer opportunists, please email Quintina (qcrozier@roundaboutltd.org).
