World Homeless Day

Today is 10th October – World Homeless Day. Roundabout has been supporting vulnerable young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless for nearly 40 years. Want to know how you can help? See below for just a few ways you can get involved.

  • Get sponsored to ‘rough it’ for one night and take part in the Roundabout Sleep Out on Thursday 3rd November. Individuals can register for £15, or groups of four are £45. We have a celebrity guest sleeper taking part to help raise awareness – Jon McClure from Reverend and the Makers! All participants will get FREE pizza on the night, kindly provided by 7 hills pizza cones. To register through Eventbrite, click here.

  • You can help with our No 11 Campaign. The renovation is soon to be completed, yet we are now in desperate need of furniture! We need 5 sofas, 5 coffee tables, 4 armchairs, 8 bedrooms sets, 5 small washing machines and 5 small fridge freezers. Click here to make a donation towards these items.

  • Get your friends/family/colleagues together to form a team for our pub quiz! Taking place on Thursday 1st December at Queens Social Club, ‘Roundabout Quizmas’ promises to be a fun-filled evening, hosted by Pulp’s drummer, Nick Banks! Tickets are £8 each, including a meal of Pie & Peas…and prizes! To register through Eventbrite, click here.

  • We are always in desperate need of volunteers for our fundraising events. We currently need volunteers to help at the Sheffield 10k on Sunday 30th October, for which Roundabout is a charity partner. If you’re free to help out or are interested in helping out at other events in the future, please email fundraising@roundaboutltd.org.
