Charity Game Swap
Who’s ready for a clear out? Sheffield Games Collective’s ever popular Games Swap returns this summer all in support of Roundabout.
Is your games collection ready for a refresh? We have the solution! If your shelves are in need of decluttering, or you’re simply keen to grow your games collection in a budget- and eco-friendly way, then we have good news: our next game swap in support of our young people ar Roundabout will take place on Sunday 19th July from 11am – 2pm at Patriot Games!
We hope you’ll come and join us to rehome your unwanted games, bag some bargains, and raise money for an amazing cause: helping to support young people at risk of homelessness.

How it works
The game swap is effectively a games-themed ‘bring & buy’ sale’ where you set the prices. Here’s how it works:
-
If you have games (tabletop or video) you would like to donate, you can either bring them with you on the day of the event or drop them off at Patriot Games or The Treehouse beforehand. Those who donate games either on the day or in advance gain free entry to the swap.
-
On the day, the full range of games donated will be available for people to browse at Patriot Games between 11am and 2pm. For those who haven’t donated games themselves, there’s a suggested entry fee of £3 (this includes re-entry for those who wish to come in more than once – a smart strategy given that more games will turn up throughout the event!).
-
You can buy the games on offer on a ‘pay as you feel’ basis, with a suggested minimum donation of £3 per game (or a little more for games in the specialist section, which are priced individually based on quality and condition). Card/ contactless payments will be accepted as well as cash.
-
We will be imposing a limit of three games per person, per visit to spread the best finds more evenly between attendees. Once you’ve bought three games, you’ll need to re-join the back of the queue before you’re able to choose more.
-
Roundabout will also be running a raffle on the day with some great prizes to be won!
-
All proceeds from the event plus any games left over at the end of the swap will be donated to Roundabout to support their invaluable work helping vulnerable young people.
What can I donate to the swap?
All tabletop games and accessories will be accepted, including board games, roleplaying games, dice sets, etc. You can also bring along physical copies of video games, games memorabilia and collectibles. Please DON’T bring gaming consoles or other electrical equipment as we will be unable to sell these due to electrical safety regulations.
