Wilf Scolding, Host

Wilf returns to Sheffield to host A Night at the Musicals. He graced the stage last year as the deranged dentist in Little Shop of Horrors, and is known worldwide for his screen roles in Andor, Game of Thrones, and Fantastic Beasts.

Sam Buttery

Fresh from the starring role in an 8-week run of Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula the Seat Witch in London’s West End, Sam returns to Sheffield for a second year to wow us with Don’t Rain On My Parade from Funny Girl.

Carley Stenson

You might recognise Carley from her time on our screens in Hollyoaks and Doctors, or more recently donning skates for Dancing on Ice. Stage roles include Princess Fiona in Shrek and Fantine in Les Misérables.

Stefan Michaels

Stefan is a man of many talents: acting, writing, singing and stand up comedy. His TV credits include Emmerdale, Coronation Street and The Jack Whitehall Show, and he even featured alongside Mo Salah in a Pepsi advert.

Sheffield One World Choir

Returning for a second year, this vibrant, life-enhancing Sheffield-based choir brings together people seeking asylum, refugees, and local residents. They’ll treat us to a rousing performance of You’ll Never Walk Alone from Carousel.

BeVox is a contemporary open-access choir, based in Sheffield and Lincoln since 2010. BeVox brings the joy of group harmony singing to people from all walks of life. They’ll be performing Seasons of Love from Rent.

TRACKS Choir

TRACKS is a Sheffield youth charity uniting young people through music. They’re committed to making music accessible to all, and TRACKS choir brings together volunteers, supporters, and alumni. Lucas Ashman will be soloist for MJ’s Human Nature.

Sheffield Performing Arts is passionate about bringing out the best in every performer, and many students go on to gain professional experience. This year they’ll take to the stage with New Money from The Great Gatsby.

Emily McGeoch

Emily’s theatre credits include Killer Queen in We Will Rock You and numerous pantomime villain roles at Sheffield City Hall, while she’s appeared on BBC and E4. She’ll perform This Is Me from The Greatest Showman.

Sophie Antcliff

Sophie Antcliff has been part of this event since the very beginning. Her credits include Ursula, Madame Thénardier, and Maria, as well as a stint at LaplandUK. Now embarking on her training at Mountview, she brings Don’t Cry for Me Argentina from Evita to the Crucible stage.

Callie, Lois, Emma & Becca

Callie, Lois, and Emma return to perform for their sixth year in a row! They love being able to sing together for such an amazing cause, and this year we’ll see a different side to the trio as they sing I Wish I May from the Witches of Eastwick. Becca also joins them for a quartet rendition of I Won’t Say from Disney’s Hercules.

Chris, Sam, Matthew & James

A quartet featuring Chris Hanlon, Sam Symonds, Matthew Roddis and James Smith will perform a medley of songs from juke box rock and roll musical Jersey Boys. Chris will also perform solo, with Soul of a Man from Kinky Boots.

Callum & Matthew

Callum Haigh is a regular at Roundabout’s A Night at the Musicals. Returning for a fourth year, he’s joined by Matthew Zunder for a moving rendition of Stars, from the Broadway sensation Les Misérables.

Stephanie & Stephen

Stephanie Hill stunned the audience with her performance of The Winner Takes It All from Mamma Mia at the Lyceum last year. Now she’s back alongside Stephen Maycock as they perform iconic duet Crazy Rolling from Moulin Rouge.

Bethan & Ruth

Bethan Griffiths swaps the Moulin Rouge for the Land of Oz as she’s joined by Ruth Lockwood. Bethan and Ruth will embody the two witches, Elphaba and Glinda, to perform their emotional farewell from Wicked, For Good.

Daniel Rossiter & BeVox

Joined by BeVox Choir for a special performance of Bui Doi from Miss Saigon, Dan returns to A Night at the Musicals for another year. Currently studing at Capa College, he’s an aspiring young performer with a blazing passion for musical theatre and the arts.

Cesca Grace

Cesca is a versatile performer with a passion for storytelling. She studied at both the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama and closer to home has featured in Jazz at The Lescar. This year she’s bringing a number from 2012 musical Chaplin.

Tara Kulbatski

Tara Kulbatski

Tara recently played Columbia in the Rocky Horror Picture Show 50th Anniversary Tour and is a familiar face in Sheffield’s theatre scene, with credits including Rock of Ages and Seussical. She’ll perform He’s My Boy from Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

Jasmine Richards

Jasmine Richards

Jasmine Richards made her stage debut at just 18 months old before going on to train in the West End. Now a singing teacher and trainee dance instructor, she returns to her roots tonight joined by tappers from The Thompson Dance Studios – for the Cup Song from Pitch Perfect.

The Thompson Dance Studios

Founded in Rotherham in 1932, The Thompson Dance Studios have over 90 years of history producing exceptional dancers, and the studios continue that proud tradition today with many former pupils returning as tutors. Tappers from the studios will join ex-student Jasmine Richards to perform The Cup Song.

Kirsty Hobbs

Kirsty Hobbs

Kirsty graduated from Mountview in 2023, and has since performed at the Actors Church in Covent Garden as part of the new show A Tale of Fellowship. She is looking forward to joining the A Night at the Musical’s lineup with I’d Rather Be Me from Mean Girls.
