Are you passionate about making a tangible impact locally and changing the lives of vulnerable young people? Roundabout is looking for a Rapid Rehousing Support Worker to support homeless young people aged 16-25 in Rotherham.

About the role

The Rapid Rehousing team is based on the Housing First model. The team offer accommodation and a support worker for people aged 18-25 who are homeless and have experienced sleeping on the street. The young people that come into the service often have multiple and complex needs including mental health, physical health and substance misuse.

As a support worker, you will have a caseload of young people to support in a trauma informed and person-centred way. This involves working with internal teams within Roundabout as well as key external stakeholders to help young people develop independent living skills, build trust, maintain a tenancy, build confidence and thrive.

This role entails working with young people in their properties or in the community. You will create risk assessments and support plans for the young people you support. You are often lone working and will have to assess risk dynamically. You are fully supported by a Team Leader and a Service Manager.
