Up, up and away! Get ready for our Easter virtual balloon race to lift the spirits!
Roundabout’s fundraising and events programme has been affected by Coronavirus so we’re encouraging you to join a special Easter holiday family fun event – without having to leave the safety of your home.
We’re encouraging supporters to purchase a virtual balloon for just £3, which will fly around the world and can be tracked on real time global map when the race launches on Easter Sunday. There is no impact on the environment as all balloons are virtual and those who purchase a balloon are in with a chance of winning some amazing prizes!
You can also gift a balloon, so if you know of anyone who has a birthday coming up, you can buy them an eco-balloon that they can track. We’re also encouraging people to purchase them for friends and family as an alternative to giving Easter Eggs, ready for the launch on Easter Sunday (April 12th).
The Details:
Balloons are available to purchase online until Saturday 11th April. Once they are launched on Sunday 12th, you can follow your balloon for seven days on the website, using Google Maps. The balloons will all start in Jerusalem, but each one is subject to a simulated flight pattern based on the actual weather conditions such as the wind speed and current temperature. Who knows where your balloon will end up?

I’ve been gifted a balloon – how do I claim it?
- Go to Roundabout’s profile
- Scroll down and click ‘Buy Balloons or Redeem a Gift’
- This will take you through to the balloon purchase page
- Put your code in the “Activate a code” box
- Press Activate
- This will take you through to a page where you can design your balloon
- Don’t forget to press save and your balloon will join the list!
- If you want to change your balloon design at any time, you can do this by logging into your account (or the account of the person who purchased the balloon for you), click on the menu button, select “my dashboard”, click the balloon icon under “recently supported” and your balloons will be brought up.
