Are you passionate about making a tangible impact locally and changing the lives of vulnerable young people? Roundabout is looking for a Trustee to support homeless young people aged 16-25 in Sheffield.
About the role
We are looking for new, enthusiastic people to join Roundabout’s Board of Trustees – could this be you?
A charity’s Trustees share responsibility for governing the charity, directing how it should be run and ensuring it carries out the purposes for which it is set up. Being a Trustee for Roundabout will mean making decisions that will positively impact on young people’s lives and futures.
Whatever your experience or background you will have something to offer to the Board of Trustees. You will be accepted and welcomed as yourself and supported in your role as Trustee. You may already be an experienced Trustee or Board member or completely new to the role, either way you will add to the collective skills and knowledge of the Board and, with a passion for Roundabout, its employees and the young people it serves, will bring a new and different perspective to the Board.
Being a Trustee is a voluntary role; meetings are usually held monthly in the city centre with ad hoc visits and attendance at fundraising events variable depending on individual’s availability.
A trustee’s appointment will be reviewed every three years with a maximum recommended limit of nine years.
The Board is committed to actively valuing diversity and inclusion and we welcome applications from all communities, and those with lived experience of homelessness.
How to Apply
Email geoff.ticehurst@roundaboutltd.org with your name and phone number if you would like an informal chat with a trustee about the role.

Successful candidates will be invited in for a formal interview as well as be expected to visit the Roundabout Hostel for an informal chat with current Roundabout staff and some young people.
The closing date for receipt of completed CV’s and Statement of Interest will be Tuesday 30 September 2025 at midday. Interviews will be held between Monday 13 October and Thursday 16 October 2025. Roundabout Ltd is committed to actively valuing diversity and encouraging equal opportunities for all and welcomes applications from all sections of the community, particularly those currently underrepresented.
