About Roundabout Resettlement

Recruitment Monitoring Form

The Resettlement Team in Sheffield is here to make sure young people have a smooth transition to independent living in a semi-supported housing setting.

Our service primarily works with those who are leaving care, but we’ve also teamed up with Sheffield Youth Justice Service to create a special program for young people aged 16-18, enabling them to have safe and secure accommodation instead of going into custody. This was based upon research which found that ex-offenders released from custody who are homeless are more likely to re-offend.

Alongside this, working with Children Looked After and Leaving Cares service in Sheffield, the Resettlement Team can offer single accommodation to young people who are preparing to leave care as a chance to practice independence skills outside of a residential setting. We are able to work with local authorities around the country, providing a quality support service to the young people we work with. While we mainly work with young people referred by Social Services or Sheffield Youth Justice Service, we’re open to any referral with funding support. We’re proud to consider all referrals, even for those who have had a tough time finding suitable housing elsewhere.

Our goal is to put young people first, provide the best support possible on a tailored basis and work alongside other care agencies to ensure the young person’s needs are at the heart of our plans. For more information, please contact the Resettlement Manager below.
