Friends of Roundabout – Christmas Hike

Sat 29 Nov 2025

Roundabout supporters are coming together for a sixth annual Christmas walk to raise funds to buy young homeless people a gift card and dinner this Christmas.

This year’s route is approximately 10 miles starting and finishing at The Traveller’s Rest at Brough, taking in Shatton Moor, Bamford Moor, Ladybower and Win Hill en route.

We are once again highly privileged to have been offered halfway refreshments at High Lees Farm, courtesy of Kate and John May. After completing last year’s walk we enjoyed food and drinks at The Traveller’s Rest in Brough (the starting point of our journey) and have made a repeat booking this year.

Last year our fundraisers worked wonders to raise over £11,000, which was outstanding and sets a challenging target this time round. With Roundabout now caring for over 400 young people our cause has never been greater.

The event is free to participate in and we ask you to raise or donate a minimum of £50 per person or £100 per family.

Start time: 8 AM (TBC)
Date: 29th November 2025
Start/Finish Location: The Traveller’s Rest at Brough via various Peak District locations

Let’s come together, enjoy the outdoors, and make this Christmas special for young people in need!

*Please note, this is a community run event and, as such, Roundabout is not responsible for way-finding, First Aid or support during the walk.
