Leading training provider supports Roundabout refurbishment campaign

Interserve Learning & Employment provides first class skills, education and employment services to help break down barriers to prosperity. They provide tailored support to teenagers and adults from all walks of life that have been prevented from starting and staying on their journey into work.

As a leading training and employment provider, they are dedicated to help schemes which have a positive impact on wider communities and local economies. They have selected Roundabout as one of their chosen charities and will be kicking off their fundraising by supporting our No 11 Campaign

We’re currently fundraising to refurbish No 11, the property next door to our emergency hostel, which provides five self-contained flats and a longer term home for eight young people. Residents there have the same key work and support provision as residents in the core hostel but they will also have started or are working towards some form of education, training or employment.

“The flats at No 11 provide a safe place for young people to stay who have left our hostel and are working towards independence,” said our Fundraising and Communications Manager Ruth Gage.

“No 11 helps break the cycle of homelessness, and without these flats, young people who move on from the hostel could become homeless again”.

We’re delighted to have support from Interserve and their employees in Sheffield will spend the year getting involved with fundraising events and volunteering opportunities for Roundabout.

“It’s really important to us that we give something back and support local causes by getting involved in community projects” said Interserve’s Careers Development Officer, Thomas Moore.

“The work that Roundabout does is something we’re very keen to support in any way we can. The No 11 campaign is vital to allow the charity to continue doing what they can to help reduce youth homelessness in Sheffield”.

The refurbishment of No11 is due to start in July. To find out more about Interserve Learning & Employment and the services it provides, visit www.learning-employment.com.
