Group Living provides accomodation and support for up to 43 young people. Our projects in Sheffield and Rotherham support 5-6 young people at one time and are primarily for young people leaving care to prepare for independent living. The projects are staffed throughout the day and night.
The young people we accommodate need time and support to develop and practice their independent living skills before moving into their own tenancy. Our young people are often leaving care or custody or have recently become homeless. Staff work with young people, building a trusting relationship, helping them have new experiences, expand their skill set and build confidence as they move towards living independently.
