FAQS

What can I expect during the evening? It’s going to be a fantastic evening filled with various activities! You will hear from one of our young people supported by Roundabout, so you can really see how your support makes a huge difference. There will also be a stadium tour, a visit from Ozzie the Owl, a quiz, and a gig from Jon McClure of Reverend and the Makers!

What food will be available during the event? There will be plenty of snacks and hot drinks available throughout the evening and overnight. In the morning, we’ll be providing all participants with a McDonald’s breakfast!

What’s the best way for me to get sponsorship? We recommend setting up a fundraising page on JustGiving and setting the target as £100. You can do this by clicking here and following the steps. Share the page with friends, family, colleagues and don’t forget to tell them all about the challenge you’re doing, and why! People are more likely to give if they know more about the cause you’re supporting and the activity you’re undertaking. You can get creative with your fundraising too and hold other fundraising activities like bake sales, sell unwanted clothes or items on platforms like Vinted and donate the sales, or organizing a car boot sale! Don’t forget to take some photos of you taking part to show friends and family – sponsorship can still happen while the event is occurring, and afterwards too! The more you talk about your challenge, the more likely you will get support!

Are there any resources available to help with fundraising? Yes, there are plenty of tips and resources available for fundraising on our website. You can find them here.

Is there any material I can share with my supporters about Roundabout’s impact? You can share a short video about Brittany, one of the incredible young people we’ve supported at Roundabout, to help your supporters understand how Roundabout has helped one of our young people. Feel free to pass it on to your supporters.

What information do I need to provide after I’ve signed up? We need the following details for all participants: name, phone number, age, emergency contact name and number, as well as any medical details or allergies we should be aware of. For those bringing children, all parents and guardians will be asked to sign a waiver on arrival. If you’ve signed up more than one person, please send the relevant information through beforehand to denise.lawrenson@roundaboutltd.org.

Is there parking available at the venue? Yes, parking is available at the south stand car park, located off Penistone Road. As you drive north, the car park is on your left before you drive past the stadium, signed ‘Main Entrance & Reception’. Once you’re parked, head up the steps to the main reception.

Can we go on the pitch? The pitch is currently being reseeded, so no-one is permitted on it at the moment. However, pitch side photos are definitely welcome!
