Roundabout is pleased to be one of the partner charities for The Peak District Challenge 2016, which will take part on 19th and 20th August this year. Competitors will be set against the clock to complete one of four challenges (more information here) and now, the team who founded it have announced that a brand new challenge is coming your way!
The ‘Back Before Dark’ challenge will start at precisely 7:24pm on Friday 19th August, where runners will race against the sun to try and return before dusk at 8:24pm. You will have approximately one hour to complete the 10k run and make it back before dark!
The scenic run leaves Hathersage along the River Derwent and heads west over grassy fields and wide paths. Climbing will begin around the 2km mark as you’ll follow Dunge Brook up to the edge of Offerton Moor and go along wide undulating tracks to pretty Shatton.
The entry fee for this challenge is £19 and you will be provided with a t-shirt too. If you choose to take part and fundraise for Roundabout, then every penny raised will come straight to us.
