GUMBO adds fun and flavour to Roundabout Fundraising!

A community indoor street party event local to Sheffield known as ‘GUMBO’ is set to raise cash for Roundabout!

Created by Sheffield man Jason Alston, Gumbo is a regular free entry fundraising event featuring local DJs performing short, sharp, live music sets, supervised craft activities for kids, dress up and games for all the family, silent auctions, food and cake.

“I’ve always viewed the ‘Steel City’ as a haven for all peoples with a compassion for diverse causes” explains Jason. “Somehow it seemed a combination of music, vinyl and charity was on the cards”.

Up to now, Gumbo has raised more than £3,000 for a range of Sheffield causes and we’re very pleased that Roundabout has been chosen for April’s event.

“We are delighted that the Gumbo team have chosen to support us in this way,” said our Fundraising and Communications Manager Ruth Gage.

“This is a great way to spend a fun family afternoon and know that you’re supporting a good cause all at the same time.”

The event will be held at Haggler’s Corner at 586 Queens Road from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday April 23rd. For more information about the event, please call the Fundraising Team on 0114 253 6753 or email fundraising@roundaboutltd.org.
