The Chief Executive of Roundabout, Ben Keegan, is taking part in a skydive on 20th February to fundraise for Roundabout!
The skydive was meant to occur in January, but unfortunately had to be postponed due to the terrible weather. However, every cloud has a silver lining, as the delay has allowed one more person to join in… Ben’s 16 year old son, Sam!
They will be joined by three other fundraisers – Jess (whose dad works for our charity), Andy and Zahid (our Chair of Trustees).
“It is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time,” said Ben, who has already raised more than £500.
“When the skydive got called off on the day I was a tad disappointed, as had psyched myself up to do it! But Sam mentioned afterwards that he had always fancied doing one so at least the delay gives him time to fundraise!”
“I will be paying the Sky Diving fee myself,” explains Ben, “so 100 per cent of all my donations will go directly to Roundabout and specifically towards the refurbishment of our Number 11 project, which provides five self-contained flats and a longer term home for eight young people.”
