Year 7s at Notre Dame High School raise over £1,100 for Roundabout!

On the 1st of February, Year 7 students at Notre Dame High School in Sheffield presented us with a cheque for an incredible £1,136.83!

Our charity was nominated by a student in year 7 and voted for by fellow students in the same year. We are delighted that so many young people wanted to fundraise money for us and our vital cause. Pictured at the cheque presentation above is (L-R) Jessica Mac-Amoo Musah & Luca Ryan Walton from year 7, handing the cheque to Ruth Gage, Roundabout’s Fundraising & Communications Manager.

“They’ve done amazingly well and have thrown themselves into fundraising efforts”, says Ruth.

“The amount they’ve raised is fantastic – we’re very grateful and hope the students all enjoyed it!”

Ruth visited the school in November to launch the fundraising, to explain more about our charity and offer fundraising ideas.

Year 7 did a huge amount to raise money, holding a variety of fundraising events during their Advent Fundraising month in December. These included a sponsored football tournament (pictured), a Pyjamas Day, sponsored silences, bake sales and so much more! Two forms also won a prize for the most creative fundraising effort.

We would like to thank all the students from Year 7 for raising such an incredible amount, and all the staff who helped!
