Young cyclist Henry uses pedal power to support Roundabout

HENRY Barlow is demonstrating that you’re never too young to get on your bike and make a difference.

For at just seven years old, the Totley youngster is planning to ride the 18.2 miles of the Monsal Trail in Derbyshire in support of Roundabout.

“For a while now I have been wanting to do something to raise money to help homeless people in Sheffield,” said Henry, who plans to complete his special journey on Sunday, June 5.

“I feel upset when I hear about young people who have no home and who have to sleep on the streets at night. They must be cold, wet and must find it very difficult.

“I am very lucky to have a warm, safe house to live in but I worry that there are lots of young children and teenagers who aren’t as lucky as me.”

Dad Richard added: “Henry is so excited about his plans. He has been asking me if he can do something to help the homeless for a while and I thought the time was right for him to give this a go.

“We sat down together and talked about what he wanted to have a go at and we looked online for charities that help the homeless. He was very clear that he wanted to help young people in Sheffield and so Roundabout seemed the ideal fit!”

Henry is aiming to raise at least £200 and already has £80 of donations on his Just Giving page. To add your support simply visit https://www.justgiving.com/HenB
